The European Genetics Foundation intends to build a center mainly devoted to advanced training in medicine and genetics . The Center, located 3.5 km from the city center of Bologna (Northern Italy), will be named Giuseppe Levi and Victor McKusick EuroMediterranean Center for Genetics and Medicine, and will be equipped with the most advanced audio-visual and internet communications technology (e-Learning, WiFi local connectivity, broadband and satellite remote connectivity, multipoint videoconferencing, live video streaming). It will connected via Internet to the University of Bologna Library system, to international networks of genetics and cancer research centers, and to a vast selection of online biomedical journals.
