MENTORS
Mentoring provides a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the professional development of a talented individual while potentially expanding your network and gaining valuable contacts for your career, group, or research program.
Engaging with a mentee opens doors to new perspectives, fresh ideas, and innovative approaches that invigorate your work, fostering reflection, growth, and learning.
To ISSNAF members, the Young ISSNAF Mentoring Program offers a way to give back to the Italian community and make a tangible impact on the career of a talented Italian.

PAIRING MENTORS AND MENTEES
A lot of effort is put in pairing Mentors with mentees who work, or intend to work, in a related field and, when possible, in the same type of institution (academia, research center, or industry).
The pairing process allows mentors to review applications and interview candidates to ensure a good match.
Mentors are not expected to provide access to visiting positions or other opportunities.
Both mentors and mentees have the freedom to end their mentoring relationship at any time, without needing to provide a reason. If a partnership doesn't work out, it shouldn't be viewed as a failure on the part of either the mentor or the mentee.
SIGN UP NOW! Become a Young ISSNAF Mentor.
Note that, depending on the number of applications and the specific goals of the mentees, it may happen that a mentor is not paired with a mentee.
