MENTORING PROGRAMS

The Young ISSNAF Mentoring Program offers personalized guidance, support, and insights to Italian students, as well as recent graduates from universities in Italy and North America, helping them explore career options and plan their professional path and it provides essential support to early-career ISSNAF members as they work toward achieving their professional goals.

Our mentors are experienced ISSNAF members with international work experience and vast expertise in the arts and humanities, engineering, life sciences, physical sciences and mathematics, social and behavioral sciences. They have the same cultural background as their mentees and can easily relate to them. Through guidance, encouragement, and practical insights, our mentors foster self-awareness and skill development, and support and motivate their mentees as they navigate their professional journey.

THE MENTORING EXPERIENCE

Mentees engages in an open dialog with their mentors to:

Explore study or career paths: Explore study or career options within their field of interest.
Learn from the Mentor’s knowledge and experience: Explore specific topics or areas of work and get insights from their stories and experiences.
Receive support: Feel comfortable with sharing any challenges they might encounter that may hinder their progress along their professional path.
