For this ISSNAF Story we are LIVE from Stanford to meet Alberto Salleo, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Department Chair at Stanford University.
Watch the video for a tour of the Stanford campus and the Materials Science labs and for the interview from Alberto’s office.
Alberto is an ISSNAF board member and one of the founders of the Bay Area Chapter.
In this interview he tells us what he thinks are ISSNAF's most important roles. He talks about his international background, his research on the properties and novel uses of organic semiconductors (such as plastics) to make electronic devices (solar cells, transistors, biosensors for wearable devices). He also explains the teaching strategy that won him Stanford’s highest teaching award, the Gores Award for Excellence in Teaching.
